About

Campus Outreach Atlanta is a college ministry based out of Perimeter Church,
with staff on the campuses of the AUC, Georgia Tech, North Georgia, and UGA.
Our mission is to glorify God by building laborers on the college campus for the lost world.

Building Laborers

Building Laborers demands many resources, but the returns on this investment are immeasurable. Our prayer is that students will graduate not only equipped to build their careers, but also the kingdom of God.

On the Campus

The college campus is a strategic mission field. College students are at the crossroads of life, making lifetime decisions and moving out to influence the world. It is an ideal time to challenge them to live according to God’s word.

For the Lost World

The purpose of Campus Outreach is to reach the world for Christ by mobilizing laborers to proclaim the gospel throughout the world. Our vision is that trained graduates would provide leadership in every sphere of influence (the church, community, business, medicine, education, missions, etc.) at home and around the world.

What is our strategy to accomplish this?
Evangelize – college students with the gospel of Jesus Christ
Establish – college students into mature Disciples of Christ
Equip – college students to be laborers for Christ
Export – individuals, teams, and multiplying ministries into the harvest

Why are we committed to this mission?
The Need: The Harvest is Plentiful, but the laborers are few.
The Command: Christ’s Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20)
The Opportunity: The Potential of College Students

What are our distinctives?

Relationship with the Church
Campus Outreach also believes in a strong relationship with the church. Each regional ministry is under the authority and leadership of a local church body, which provides a crucial source of accountability, leadership and resources. Staff members and students of campus ministries in other cities and towns become involved in local churches. The partnering church for Campus Outreach Atlanta is Perimeter Church in Duluth, GA.

Growth Strategy
Campus Outreach has found that the most effective way to grow big is by staying small. Campus Outreach is actually made up of 20 independent “franchises” throughout the world. Once a franchise grows large enough, it launches new staff members to a new campus in another location. From there, Campus Outreach seeks out a local church to “adopt” Campus Outreach as its college ministry. Once a church agrees and after a period of testing and transition, the new host church assumes all authority and oversight for that franchise. So in essence Campus Outreach is a collection of the 20 college ministries of individual churches which share a common vision and strategy but with no central headquarters or central authority.

Life-on-Life Relationships
Finally, we believe the best spiritual training takes place in the context of relationships. Rather than relying on a program or Bible-study curriculum, we emphasize the importance of life-on-life relationships – one individual sharing his life with another.

What are our values?

The Glory of God: Each student is taught that the glory of God is man’s highest goal. They are challenged to live life to that end.
Eternal Perspective: Each student is challenged to make decisions in his life in light of God’s plans for eternity.
God’s Sovereignty: Each student is taught from scripture that God is in control of all things and will accomplish the building of His kingdom.
Man’s Uniqueness: All of us are created by God with a unique design, and we are to use what we are given to accomplish His purpose.
Multiplication: Each student is made aware of God’s chosen process of growing up Christians through investing one’s life in the lives of others.
Privilege Mentality: It is a high calling and honor to serve our Lord in the building of His kingdom regardless of our circumstances.

What are our beliefs?

God is one Being existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God is the Sovereign, the Creator, and the Sustainer of all things. God is the source and end of all truth.

The Scriptures are the written Word of God, inerrant in their original writings, the infallible authority by which He directs and governs all activities. Both the Old and New Testaments reveal God’s covenant of grace and are therefore applicable to believers today.

Jesus Christ is the eternal begotten Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit, and of the Virgin Mary – truly God – truly Man. Through Christ’s life, death, resurrection, and ascension, He accomplished a decisive victory over sin for His people and established His Kingdom among men.

The Holy Spirit permanently indwells the believer beginning at salvation. The work of the Holy Spirit is to glorify Jesus Christ. To do this, He regenerates, enlightens, sanctifies, transforms, and gives to believers what they need to serve Christ.

The Lord will return in glory and triumph for the final judgment and consummation of His Kingdom.

God is one Being existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God is the Sovereign, the Creator, and the Sustainer of all things. God is the source and end of all truth.
